At The Honeybunch Community, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to feel connected, supported and part of a community.
We're building a village where women and families can find connection, access practical support and discover opportunities to grow.
Some people find us during motherhood. Others may come through a community event, need help navigating a difficult situation, want to try something new, volunteer, build confidence or simply find somewhere they belong.
However you find us, the idea at the heart of Honeybunch is simple:
Community matters. Connection matters. And nobody should have to navigate everything alone.
🍯 Our Story
The name Honeybunch is inspired by the late grandmother of our founding director, who lovingly nicknamed her “Honeybunch” as a child.
She was a nurse, a single mum of four and a remarkable woman who embodied resilience, compassion and community.
After arriving in the UK from the Caribbean, she worked tirelessly to build a better future for her family, progressing from sharing a room to owning her own home and later becoming a landlord.
But her story wasn't only about what she achieved for herself.
She was known for helping other people.
Whether sharing her medical knowledge, supporting neighbours or helping friends raise their children, she understood something that remains at the heart of Honeybunch today:
We are stronger when we look out for one another.
Her legacy lives on through The Honeybunch Community.
She reminds us that it truly takes a village — and that's the kind of community we're building today.
💛 Why We Exist
Life can bring moments when we need connection, encouragement, practical help or simply someone to point us in the right direction.
Motherhood can feel isolating.
Family circumstances can change.
Confidence can take a knock.
People can find themselves wanting to try something new, build confidence or become more involved in their community.
Sometimes you know you need support but don't know where to start.
And sometimes you don't need a service at all — you just need people, conversation and somewhere you feel you belong.
Honeybunch exists to help create those connections.
Our purpose is to strengthen women, families and communities by creating opportunities to:

We want people to find their village, access the right support and have opportunities to take part, learn and grow.

Everything we do is built around three core pillars.

Finding your village starts here.
We create welcoming opportunities for people to meet, build relationships and feel part of a community.
This includes our mum-focused Mums Connected programme, our online Virtual Village, community activities, walks, Pop-Ups and opportunities to connect both online and in person.
❤️ SUPPORT
Someone alongside you. Help finding the next step.
Sometimes support means having somebody listen.
Sometimes it's practical help navigating what's getting in the way.
And sometimes you need access to somebody with professional expertise.
Through One-to-One Peer Support, Helping Hands and our developing Connect Clinic, we create different routes into support while also connecting people with appropriate external or specialist services when needed.
Practical resources are also available through Mums Connected: The Exchange, rotating pop-ups, community organisations and our wider village network.

Try something new. Build confidence. Grow together.
Growth doesn't have to mean reaching a particular destination.
Sometimes it's simply trying something you've never done before, learning a practical skill, discovering a new interest or becoming more involved in your community.
Through activities such as Honeybunch Kitchen, Plant & Grow, HoneyMove and volunteering, we're creating welcoming opportunities for people to learn, participate and build confidence alongside others.
Some activities will be led by Honeybunch, while others may be delivered alongside community partners, local organisations and people with specialist skills or experience.
There's no pressure to be good at something before you start.
Come as you are. Have a go. Learn something. Grow together.
🌼 The Honeybunch Difference
Honeybunch isn't just about the programmes we run.
It's about how people feel when they meet us.
We want someone walking into a Honeybunch activity for the first time to feel welcomed.
We want someone asking for help to feel listened to rather than passed around.
We want somebody joining our community to know they don't need to have everything figured out.
And we want the people who volunteer, collaborate and grow alongside us to feel that they're part of the village too.
Sometimes that looks like a conversation over a cuppa.
Sometimes it's a Reflection Card that says exactly what somebody needed to hear that day.
Sometimes it's a Kindness Bag, a warm introduction to another organisation, a new experience, an Exchange pop-up or simply somebody remembering your name when you come back.
It's the little things that help people feel they belong.
