At The Honeybunch Community, we believe no mum should feel alone in her journey through motherhood.
The name Honeybunch is inspired by the late grandmother of our founding director, who lovingly called her this as a child. She was a nurse and single mum who raised four successful children with the help of her close-knit community. Arriving in the UK from the Caribbean, she worked tirelessly to go from sharing a room to owning her own home, and later became a landlord herself.
Known for her caring nature, she shared her medical knowledge, supported neighbours, and helped friends raise their children. Her story reflects the very heart of what Honeybunch stands for today: community, resilience, and empowerment.
💛 Why We Exist
Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also feel lonely.
-
1 in 5 women experience mental health challenges during the perinatal period.
-
Many mums report losing confidence, struggling with identity, and feeling cut off from their community.
We created Honeybunch to change that — to build a safe, welcoming space where mums can connect, grow, and feel supported.
🌸 What We Do
Through our events, workshops, and community spaces, we:
-
Bring mums together through peer-support sessions (Mum’s Connected).
-
Boost health and wellbeing with gentle movement and fitness classes (Move, Flow & Bond) and rejuvenating wellness walks.
-
Build skills through practical cooking sessions (Mum’s Kitchen) and upcoming life skills workshops.
-
Create connection via play-based bonding sessions and our online communities (Virtual Village WhatsApp and Facebook groups).
-
Empower mums to maintain their identity, wellbeing, and confidence during this major life transition.
🌟 Our Impact
Every session we host brings mums together, reduces isolation, and helps families thrive. Whether it’s a parent making a new friend, learning a new skill, getting active, or simply feeling heard for the first time, these moments create lasting change — for mums, babies, and communities.
